I exist for you because someone loves me enough to get in my face, to rattle my cage, to make me uncomfortable in this moment so I can give myself the freedom to step into the next moment of my life.
Thank you to my Life Coach and to Lisa Nichols (who she suggested I listen to)! I have finally recognized that I have those people in my life that love me enough to rattle me to the core and more. To shake me until I step into the next moment of becoming the best possible me I can become and to take my story, my experience and my understanding of my emotions and behavior and rediscover myself every day.
I can’t even begin to describe how difficult (new) and exhilarating and freeing it is to cycle through a moment like I described the other day in my last blog post. Having been put in a place to face my own fears, my life and my future, I can tell you easily now, was the most frightening thing I have ever experienced. But there is a surprise ending to this.
I have recognized a part of myself that has been dormant for many, many years. I knew she was there, but she was so afraid of putting herself out there that she stayed small. What was huge was her fear of success, not a fear of failure. Mistakes, she knew, were there to learn from, that was the easy part. Success is a different story.
When realizing just how powerful I am, there is also a recognition of just how small I play. That isn’t me. I wasn’t put on this earth to play small because I am larger than life. I have just realized this. And it isn’t just some cliché statement that may have heard. As a Spirit in a Human Body, we ARE larger than life. This goes for both women and men.
So this particular Call to Action is for Women Only. And now, I realize the reason I have put together this Women’s Circle. I have seen and felt firsthand what our society projects to women as well as who we are expected to be. We are expected to have the perfect body, be the perfect sexual and love partner, and still be the perfect mother and now the perfect business woman. Perfection exudes expectation and sets us up for disappointment. Most women do not have a Victoria’s Secret Body and there aren’t a lot of mother’s who have the time to commit to a body like that (unless of course we have photo shop or a reaallyy expensive personal trainer). After spending the day with the loves of our lives, our children, sometimes it’s more than we can do to even use the one brain cell we have left to think. So the other part I have come to discover is that we are human too. Who we are is just fine.
“Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don’t take no for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy to hear about a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when the think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shape, sizes and colors.
They’ll drive, fly, walk, run or email you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.”
